Surrey Satellite Technology Ltd (SSTL) is a UK-based provider of turn-key operational space missions for governments and commercial customers, in operation since the early 1980s. SSTL specialises in advanced optical, thermal and radar imaging missions, but is also involved in communications, BIU, navigation, science, exploration, and technology demonstration missions. SSTL designs and builds payloads, or accommodates customer payloads, and is building its 80th spacecraft today. SSTL can help launch, insure, and operate spacecraft, provide ground segment installation or SaaS, and where required licence and localise production to its partners and customers. Based in Guildford, UK, SSTL employs 380 staff and is an independent company owned by Airbus.
