CESI, among its energy businesses, has over 30 years of experience in researching, developing and producing high-efficiency space solar cells based on III-V semiconductors for civil applications and is one of the main international suppliers of space solar cells.
CESI has strongly invested in proprietary technology and participated in main space R&D programs at both EU and international levels, supported by ASI and ESA.
Whitin the ESA European space programs CESI is well established for its expertise in the development of advanced devices and in the production of space solar cells. CESI has contributed to significant interplanetary mission projects (e.g. Mercury, Mars, Jupiter) and has provided solar cells for more than 100 civil satellites to commercial and institutional Clients from over 25 countries worldwide.
Solar cells are manufactured at CESI facility in Milan and can be provided either bare or SCA to serve the markets with the best cost versus quality mix.
