Robert Benton has over 25 years of broad experience in the full range of legal and policy issues facing entities in the satellite and media sectors as well as advocacy, lobbying and coalition building. Robert built a successful practice representing satellite companies with multiple practitioners at a leading Washington D.C. law firm. This included providing counsel to satellite service providers on the acquisition and launch of satellite assets from procurement to in-orbit leasing post-launch, and repositioning to new orbital locations. He is a proven leader focusing on collaborative and supportive management to help colleagues embrace change, increase efficiency and exceed expectations. He is an experienced public speaker and public service advocate, helping grow and expand pro bono work and personnel training assets. During his career, Mr. Benton served as general counsel to a satellite consultancy group; a sports, entertainment and media company; an investment fund formed to purchase and grow companies for later exit or sale; and multiple non-profit organizations.
