An aerospace engineer, he started his career with a leading European space systems integrator in Milan, Italy. After completing his MS and Phd in the US, Marco works as system engineer and program manager, eventually joining SpaceX as Mission Director for Dragon, the first commercial spacecraft to fly cargo and crew to orbit. He later joined Tyvak Nano-Satellite Systems and founded Tyvak International, its European subsidiary. As its COO, Marco helped growing the company into a global small-satellite leader that went public in 2021 as Terran Orbital and was eventually sold to Lockheed Martin in 2024. Marco currently serves as CEO of Canopy A&D, and is active as a private investor, consultant, and board advisor.
