Louis Christen is the senior director of the Proliferated Systems Operating Unit, responsible for the capture and execution of a portfolio of programs, focused on proliferated low
earth orbit (pLEO) systems. He has 22 years of program management experience in the aerospace industry focused on communications and ISR satellites.
Prior to his current position, Christen led numerous Directorates focused on advanced communication systems and technologies; rapid prototyping of small satellites; advanced intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (ISR) payloads; and enabling technology developments.
Christen received his bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from Florida State University. He received his master’s and doctoral degrees from the University of Southern California with a specialization in radio frequency and optical communications for satellite systems. He has authored or co- authored over 70 published conference and journal papers on communications.
