Marco Ruano, a distinguished leader in the aerospace sector, serves as the founder and chairman of Sanzar, where he champions innovation in space control systems and artificial intelligence software. With a doctorate in aeronautical engineering, he also shares his expertise as an associate professor of economics at Complutense University and Carlos III University of Madrid. Over the course of his 25-year career, he has made significant contributions to both the aerospace industry and academia, showcasing excellence in management, coordination, and the execution of technical initiatives, alongside notable achievements in research and development and business growth.

In recent years, Marco has engaged with transformative areas such as space attitude control systems, flying vehicles, AI applications for land and crop assessment, and circular economy efforts. As a consultant and editor-in-chief of the Studies in Engineering and Technology  Journal, he plays an active role in enhancing knowledge and fostering innovation. Additionally, with a master’s degree in Environmental Education and participation on the Sustainable Construction Committee of the Spanish Association for Standardization and Certification of Sustainable Construction, Marco exemplifies a commitment to progress and sustainability within his passions for engineering and education.
